Epping's a regular run for me — twelve minutes or so up the Hume and across. Between the estates off High Street and the busy Pacific Epping carpark, there's no shortage of cosmetic damage to sort.
The one I'll remember: a 2017 Tucson Highlander booked in as a "small scratch" on the passenger door. Up close it had been keyed right back to bare metal. I sanded it out, primed the metal, matched the white against the panel and laid the colour — and halfway through the clear coat a fly dive-bombed straight into the wet paint. Picked it out carefully, let it flash off, second coat over the top. You can't tell where the scratch was, let alone the fly. The owner watched the whole thing happen and still laughs about it.
